We encourage a $5 recurring donation. Why? 1. $5 a month is the price of one fancy coffee a month. Can you give up one iced latte a month to fund accessible news? 2. If 100 people each give $5 a month, that's $6,000 a year total. Power in numbers! 3. The best things come in small packages.

Have you supported EAPM yet? Our mission is to make journalism more accessible. We have $250 left for the rest of the year. We are donor-funded and we need your help to keep going. givebutter.com/buildnews

I have had three (3) sign-ups to @the-word.news newsletter today. Here’s the sad part: The Word will not be publishing next month because of @equalaccesspublicmedia.org’s budget situation (unless people help turn this around. We need at least $300/month). givebutter.com/buildnews

It costs about $250 a month to publish The Word. That's the majority of the @equalaccesspublicmedia.org budget right now. Without an increase in donations, publication of The Word is paused until further notice.

Today, I will spend the day fundraising for @equalaccesspublicmedia.org. We need to shore up this budget. At minimum, we need to be bringing in $300 a month in donations. Right now? We're bringing in about $40 a month in donations. I keep saying "$5 a month." That's not a lot. 1/
