Pleased to see Grok in agreement with us on the myths pedalled by Rupert Lowe MP... 16 years of savage cuts and over 20 years of failure to fix a broken contract is what’s fuelling the crisis in NHS dentistry. Everything else is noise. Clearly, Mr Lowe prefers to focus on noise.

These words from Rupert Lowe are both factually incorrect and potentially dangerous rhetoric. As a serving MP, he should check the facts before making claims of this kind and should apologise for misleading the public.

🦷Migrants don’t "go to the top of the waiting list for dental treatment." We are appalled by the dangerous and inaccurate claims by Restore Britain’s Rupert Lowe MP on migrants, and access to dental care made on the @joerogantop.bsky.social podcast earlier this month. A thread 🧵 1/

Very welcome news from @sharonhodgsonmp.bsky.social and prevention in action. @thebda.bsky.social have called for change here as products that are habit forming, highly acidic and can contain over 20 teaspoons of sugar have no place on the menu for kids.

“Packed with sugar & highly acidic, dentists have seen the damage energy drinks do every day," says @eddiecrouch.bsky.social “The result is children struggling to eat, to sleep and to learn." "Taking them off the menu for under 16s is a victory for common sense."

🥤Food labelling matters... And today the Health and Social Care Committee has backed timid half measures, when decisive action is required. 🚥The ‘traffic light’ system works for industry precisely because it is both so familiar and so ineffective.

"My local dentists are desperate to take on more NHS patients," says @@bobbywdean.bsky.social MP. "Isn’t it wholly unacceptable govt doesn’t yet have a proposed solution, let alone implemented one?" Without pace here there is a clear risk that promises to save this service can't be kept.

“This report spells out what we all know that oral disease and deprivation go hand in hand" says @eddiecrouch "Until ministers step up, universal access to NHS dentistry for children will remain just a myth, and many will keep paying the price.” www.mirror.co.uk/news/health/...
