This Monty Python clip of Philosophy Football is perfect. 🙃🏟👀 After 39 straight days of World Cup adrenaline, drama, & glory, I have to somehow get my brain to transition back into writing philosophy. (Yes, that's what I do). ✌🏻 Less adrenaline. More pondering. 👇🏼

Your life data & willpower isn't a commodity. Billionaires should be able to buy islands, business assets, property. In other words—actual commodities. They shouldn't be able to buy YOU. They shouldn't have purchasing power of your beliefs, feelings, and life data.

Your life data & willpower isn't a commodity.

Billionaires should be able to buy islands, business assets, property. In other words—actual commodities.

They shouldn't be able to buy YOU.

I fear that by Zuck & Musk buying platforms that harvest our personal data & pump us full of propaganda—they’ve begun to convince the world that our beliefs, our feelings, & our life data are commodities to be purchased & manipulated by the billionaire class.

When those assets actually belong exclusively to YOU.

Do me a favor and compliment someone today. Tell an artist/creator or whoever that the thing they made is cool. This year has started off unimaginably horrible, and it's probably not going to get better anytime soon. Spread a bit of love. Make someone's day. We all need that now more than ever.

it's so important to make time for yourself, rest, treat yourself gently and with kind words. you, not me, I have to run myself ragged until I collapse in a pile of exhausted self-hatred but you should definitely self care.

It's nice that something can be valued at $0 dollars, $117 dollars, $35 dollars, and $15 dollars at the same time. Really shows you that Capitalism knows what it's doing. I'm not sure which wildly different price range I should take here.

Amazon book that has wildly different prices for Kindle version vs paperback.
