We both recognize that in the long term independence is healthy for people in relationships, but in the short term it's been pretty incredible to have spent the last 9 months getting so close that everything that feels like it might separate us has dissolved and we've become like a single entity

It's particularly dystopian how the only upside of this apocalyptic miasma that's currently choking Portland - namely, the beautiful orange glow it soaks everything in at sunset - is automatically algorithmically filtered out of photos taken with phones produced by companies responsible for the smog

I tend to respond to emergency situations by locking in with muted emotions and just doing whatever seems most necessary. Really works best for emergencies that are like 2-3 hours long. This multi-day situation with no clear endpoint or course of action is making it hard to know when to power down
