20% of high school seniors will be old enough to vote in Nov. Many more (including 16- and 17-year-olds) can register today and be ready for 2028. That's why we support non-partisan, student-led voter reg drives in schools twice a year, every year. www.thecivicscenter.org/hsvrw

Want to protect our voting rights? Use your voice — and help others do the same! ⚡️ In a new op-ed in @thephilacitizen.bsky.social, our CEO joined leading voting rights advocates to break down why trusted community messengers are key to protecting democracy.

The law is on the voters' side. Federal law — and many state laws — prohibit armed federal agents at polling places, voter intimidation, and election interference. Our new resource explains these protections and the efforts underway to keep elections safe and secure. bit.ly/4yOProg

Preventing Voter Intimidation by Federal Agents at the Polls

Any deployment that intimidates voters or interferes with elections would be illegal. Should one occur, officials and civil society are prepared to challenge illegal acts so that voting can proceed uninterrupted.

"The more students who understand the importance of the right to vote and how to organize their community, the higher turnout can be, and the more likely we will have free and fair elections for all in November." Person to person matters, but each state can do better with teen voter reg.

NEW DATA: only 7% of New Hampshire 18-years are registered to vote. By contrast, in Oregon, Michigan, and Colorado 70+% are registered. That’s 7x as many, and it proves that states have the power to do a better job of consistently welcoming their newest voters. open.substack.com/pub/thecivic...
