You should understand this stuff not as analysis of public opinion - since when did the lads give a fuck about that? - and not even as threats. These are promises: we, the press, are now going to fuck you up, and we won’t stop screaming until your lives are utterly miserable.
I think the problem around all of this is the definition of Zionism. Society no longer has a shared reality - for example, most UK media pundits over the weekend seem to believe that Zionism is anti-racist concept which advocates for a 2-state-solution - despite all evidence to the contrary.
