I drove by where they usually put the Spirit Halloween store, and they're putting signage up. My favorite time of year, and hopefully signals cooler temperatures in the near future (since we've been 100+ every day for over a week).

Going from the serious, fast paced Aus Survivor vs the World, to the "Just moments ago, a velociraptor threw Rachel into a volcano" Big Brother is such a fucking HUGE tonal shift.
Finally finished "Australian Survivor vs The World" and I'm sobbing. One of the best seasons of reality TV that there is, and one of the most dominating winning games ever played. Such a wild ride. In general, Australian Survivor is some of the best Survivor out there, so I highly recommend it.
This little device is incredible. I wanted to play my GameCube on our new TV, but couldn't. This pulls the signal directly from the digital av port on the GC and gives you a crisp, clear picture, unlike most converters. It was $80, so not cheap, but definitely worth the price! Very glad I got it. :)

The new Yoshi game feels more like a proof of concept...there are some neat ideas (using creatures for diff. abilities), but the game feels shallow and there are zero stakes.
