I grew up watching his films and really liked him. Blew my young mind, to discover that a good actor can be both; a dino researcher & a punished madman. In recent years, I also got to know and love his social media presence. Rest in peace, Sam! Sending strength and love to his family and friends. ❤️

Always felt embarrassed about my tendency to watch the same thing over and over again, until i've noticed how no one lingers anymore. It's consume one thing, move on to the next. People will swear they watched something they enjoyed, until they talk about it and you find out they really didn't.

yes this!!! it’s okay if you don’t “get it” on first read/watch/listen/playthrough/whatever too many people are too quick to dismiss media as just “bad writing” if they don’t *immediately* understand it, when in reality, it may just require revisits (sometimes multiple revisits) for it to stick

was talking about it on stream but I feel like a lot of discourse about media literacy these days could be avoided if people were more willing to be like, a good ending version of ulysses ogre. Like admitting to yourself you just don't get something but being cool with it
