It was clear that he was a bad tactical manager about a week in; it was clear he had lost the clubhouse sometime last year; it was clear he needed to go sometime between then and now.

The thing about Mendoza is that he probably isn't the reason the Mets are bad but he also probably isn't helping. The evidence: the Mets under Mendoza

Carlos Mendoza was not the only problem. But he was certainly not the answer.
