Sony's decision to cease physical copies in 2028 is bizarre, not least because of the timing. Why give a date, rather than say "from PS6 onwards"? The PS5's library has tons of disc games, which will abruptly stop well before the end of its run. I'd imagine this is very annoying for collectors.

I swear, modern gaming discourse makes you tired of games before they even come out now. Take this weeks example: If I have to read about how "GTA6 is a code in box to avoid spoilers" or "no one will trade it in anyway" I might find a new hobby. People bending backwards to defend shitty practices.
