Might I suggest this actually is a question for the group chat?

I get a lot of AI ads about writing SOPs and there have been periods of my life where I had to write these, but I don't see how that's a long-term business strategy for AI companies given how relatively infrequently most people have to write or update them and how few people specifically do this
This is apparently 4 years old, but the vibes still feel right
So Sunday and yesterday I massively crashed because it turns out you can't up your exercise like 50-100% without also increasing your mostly vegan diet. But STILL. Today I feel a lot better.
I am training for a half Iron Man and I am always tired, always hungry, and always off to hit a new goal on the path, because it's a long one. It's great, I fucking love it. I don't talk about it much because I realise it's insufferable, but here is my occasional dispatch.

"Independent" is a word which does not mean what Jillian thinks it means.
Anyone ever had their Amazon Prime account suspended? Mine's been suspended with no detail, but the offer to appeal... Not sure on what grounds, given I don't know why it was suspended.
Beautiful, glorious game. All is right in the world.
Houses are selling for close to 20% less in some parts of the Melbourne market... which is bad news for vendors, but pretty great if you're looking to buy.
The Melbourne houses selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars less
House buyers could pay six figures less for some family homes than they would have in a hotter market.

Based Leahy toon in the Daily Tele today (covering for Warren Brown of all people, quite the change of vibe in the slot)
I am watching season 3 of Shrinking for some reason, and even though I kind of enjoy it, I'm not sure why people talk about it like it's "good" tv. It's kinda bad. It's just not the kind of bad anyone really makes anymore, and maybe that's comforting.
This might be one of the funniest chart about energy scenarios I’ve seen. You can hardly see “actual” for gas
I really like illustrators/artists who post their work, or in-progress stuff of their work, but I hate how social media turns artists into people who perform the conception & production of work. Vaguely successful social media artists are performing The Artist's Way all the time & it's so boring
this is the ideal newspaper columnist. you may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like
If the UK's far right idiots rioted every time a white person stabbed someone, there'd be no homes left, no country -- they apparently so dearly love -- left. This is so depressing and terrifying. And tbh I think it's weak this article doesn't really address who "the mob" are, it's barely explained
‘It was so terrifying’: care workers tell of being trapped at home by Belfast mob
Sumayah Nakazibwe and Stella Ariokot feared they would be next as fires took hold of neighbouring houses

🕊️ Today, June 8, marks eight years since the world lost Anthony Bourdain. I often think about the beautiful and humble way he brought us stories from around the world. I reflect on how he turned places that the headlines made sound scary into ones we'd want to get to know.
Senate estimates 2027: "And can you explain why a third of the ABC's budget goes to a show called Global Roaming? It says here you have 345 hosts?"
I'm increasingly seeing attempts by writers to turn their writing into comics using AI or using it to supplement their writing with a generated diagram/cartoon, and it has this weird reflex effect of making the flaws in their thought processes more apparent.
I was not ready for the Slate Culture Gabfest to announce it was ending as I popped in on as a midnight comfort listen, as I do every week, to listen to again in the morning when I am actually awake. It doesn't feel like a thing that should ever end.
Saw Obsession today, loved it. Strikes me we really seem to be in a moment where utter obliteration of the face is the most horrific move in film, and that seems very interesting to me culturally... Like, is it an identity thing? Total destruction of the self? Or is it just the tech is here?
Whenever I see a house with a Bromley, I'm like, "ah, this person wants you to know they can afford original art, AND they like boobs"
Bit of a call out: did you buy, or do you know who anyone who bought, a Nightingale home? Drop me a DM!

I think if you're going to describe any policy position as "populist" in a news, analysis or commentary, you should be forced to define why. And yes, I think that's fine for anti-immigration position. It's clarifying, because being anti-immigration isn't backed by data. Wealth taxes largely are.
