my favorite part of this conversation whenever it comes up is the way adult Pokemon fans act like they have been personally, grievously wronged because they don’t like the new games as much as the old games
I think for kids in particular it was better for them. A kid will just fire up the same episode or movie on repeat if you let them because that's how their brains are. If they have a show they have to tune in for, they may watch the show before or after too and expand their pallets that way.
