So who else is having REALLY slow internet today? I would think its just me, but a couple clients have already off-handedly complained about their internet too.

Oh, goodie. Based on a phishing email I got to the email I only use for Quickbooks that tries to look like its from Intuit, I am gonna say that Intuit/Quickbooks got hacked recently.

Sigh, dealing with soooo much incompetence. Health insurers, retirement savings administrators, government agencies... dealing with mistakes by each today. the dumbification of our society is well on its way.

So I imagine the end game plan on the postmark rule is to instruct or manipulate the postal service to delay tens of thousands of mailed ballots in the coming elections since they cant as easily alter those.

Being in marketing and advertising, I have a front row seat to AI in advertising and its creeping me out. I pretty much assume every graphic and every tv ad is made with AI now, even (or especially) simple ones. I can't even post man-made ones without a platform trying to force AI versions on us.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Now that so-so tickets are $600-800 and up for NCAA March Madness, something I used to love doing every year is now out-of-budget. They are running a "sale" ($30 off) for the first time I have ever noticed, so I cant be the only one.

NEW: Last night, a federal judge issued a permanent block on the Trump administration's deployment of National Guard troops to Oregon. This is a win for the rule of law. No troops on our streets – anywhere.

The surge of federal immigration agents to the Bay Area and threats to send the National Guard to SF are flagrant abuses of power intended to instill fear, target political opponents, and chill dissent. We all have constitutional rights when interacting with federal agents. Know your rights:👇🏾

So the State of California website is unavailable (well, the www part at least) and I gotta wonder-- is it because they put up their OWN note about the failure of the President & Congress (like the fed websites blaming the Dems for the shutdown)

Big Data #fail. I just got mail at my California home addressed to a Michigander who an entity I am associated with bought property FROM. i.e. the data link aint linking right (its not the first time I've seen this type of big data error, but the most inexplicably erroneous)
