Being on the autism spectrum in a region that lacked proper resources (let alone overall knowledge at the time) and warranting the need of a teacher's assistant by my side for the first half of my grade school years was definitely the first sign.

QUESTION OF THE DAY: This sounds like a joke question, but it isn’t. If it doesn’t apply to you, fine. But it’s a serious question with different levels of meaning. And I am genuinely curious. When did you first realize you were weird?

Warner Archive Collection has announced a Blu-Ray that has every Tex Avery short film he made at MGM. It's called the Tex Avery: The Definitive Screwball Classics Collection which will be released on December 1st. As someone who loves Avery's MGM work, this is something I need!

In 2015, an anonymous member within The Academy would write an extremely xenophobic comment towards The Tale of Princess Kaguya when casting their vote for Best Animated Film. Then a year later, The Academy offered the film’s director, Isao Takahata, to become a member; to which he rejected.

? BEST ANIMATED FEATURE

I only watch the ones that my kid wants to see, so I didn't see [The] Boxtrolls but I saw Big Hero 6 and I saw [How to Train Your] Dragon [2].
We both connected to Big Hero 6 - I just found it to be more satisfying. The biggest snub for me was Chris Miller and Phil Lord not getting in for [The] Lego [Movie]. When a movie is that successful and culturally hits all the right chords and does that kind of box-office - for that movie not to be in over these two obscure freakin' Chinese fuckin' things that nobody ever freakin' saw [an apparent reference to the Japanese film The Tale of the Princess Kaguya, as well as the Irish film Song of the Sea]? That is my biggest bitch. Most people didn't even know what they were! How does that happen? That, to me, is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

I'll say this, as horrible as this merger is going to be, we should be far more worried about more Space Jam sequels being made than Skydance becoming a conglomerate version of 'Daily Wire' (I mean look how DW is doing right now being the way it is).
