We aren’t in the general habit of agreeing with Popes, but where it concerns the basic universal dignity of all human beings, we are in agreement. We should strive to treat each other with kindness and compassion, and use our hands in this world to heal rather than to harm.
We get asked a lot if Norse Paganism is welcoming to trans people, queer people, etc. Our prerogative is there is no Norse Paganism without trans people or queer people. It simply does not exist. Our religion has been built on the work of LGBTQIA+ people. Scholarship. Theology. Liturgy. All of it.

In #heathenry we like to talk a lot about the lessons of the Havamal as guidance for life. Today, we focus on the frame of the poem: a stranger, an old man with nothing to give but his wisdom, comes to your door. This “stranger” is Odin. The way you treat the stranger is the way you treat a God.
