Recorded a video on my thoughts on D&D and Universes Beyond that'll be going out in a couple of days. I will say regardless of my thoughts, seeing a number of people talk about their nerdy joy about Azeroth in D&D does showcase the positive side of UB (and it was always the same in MtG too)

I have no idea what the wider internet's view of D&D Universe Beyond is, but for me I think it makes a decent amount of sense. And will have less impact on the game than UB did to MtG.

Based on my reading so far, Hope & Fear is the Daggerheart Monster Manual. Don't get me wrong new classes and campaign frames are great. But the real value is in the over doubling of Adversaries and Environments for GMs to use imo. And so many inspire me by their nature

I'm sort of torn on Daggerheart's continued creation of "D&D monsters" in Daggerheart. On one level it's a fun nod. On another level it does sort of come across as a game unwilling to decouple itself from the "genre defining" system. Fowlbear is funny, but was it needed beyond a reference?

Something unbelievably frustrating about getting Hope & Fear (pdf) in my hands, in the busiest week imaginable. It is at least pretty to have open on a screen, even if I can't spend the time to read it
