FYI there is no "real" reason why Rome "fell." Its power waned for the usual, mundane reasons: widening gap between rich and poor, inability to maintain infrastructure, incompetent leadership, pointless wars, endless persecution of marginalized groups who performed vital labor, etc.

People will say the big 3 didn't see it coming but US auto executives knew this was happening 15 years ago and largely acted accordingly, making huge investments in EV tech and lobbying the US govt for subsidies to those investments. Then Trump got reelected and it all got thrown out the window

"Well this is awkward". The US used to to make 95% of international cars. Now about 18% and falling. ICE cars are low tech, high pollution & too expensive to buy & run. US makes 5% of EVs. China makes 75%. Oops. #Time4ChangeUSA #TheTankIsEmpty #2026MidTerms ⚖️ 🇺🇸

Got to be one of those "feels different from the inside" things but I generally think of my game dev career as average then, once in awhile, look back on those titles and go "damn." Wolverine Spider-Man 2 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Spider-Man Ratchet & Clank Titanfall The Last of Us Uncharted 3

This is the motivation and goal behind MAGA. Bigots were tired of being told that their bigotry was bad and then came Trump promising that he was going to make all that bigotry not just acceptable but encouraged. This is why the cult continues to support such an obviously inept, incoherent moron.

Support for gay marriage in the U.S. has declined, to 65% from a high of 71% four years ago, according to a recent poll from Gallup. Republicans are responsible for much of this gravitational pull. Democratic support remains unchanged at 87%. nyti.ms/3PJ0XzQ

I wanna see Laufey take place entirely during the opening of God of War (2016) and end with her spirit returning to watch over Kratos and Atreus; her pov is the one-shot camera following them through both games.

Considering it's about Faye in the afterlife with some emphasis on a powerful, potentially cursed(?) sword she finds there, it would have been hilarious if they'd called it God of War: Heavenly Sword

there's replies here giving the (correct) answer that these things do not happen primarily because the democrats do not want them to happen, and i'm always amazed by how delusional some democrat voters are in arguing with that

Someone asked me the other day, “If Trump can just do whatever he wants, then a Democratic president can too. why is Medicare for All impossible? Why are reparations impossible? Why is anything off the table?”

MAGA is like watching someone do a reboot of the Nazis where Hitler has the intellect of a rotting grapefruit and the focus of a sleepy toddler and he's flanked by a rotating harem of vapid influencers and douchebros who think their skill at riding daddy's credit score warrants power and praise.
