I collect brainrot online and touch grass, rocks, dirt and snow to temporarily cure myself. It's like microdosing madness at the expense of my physics degree. Hike, Bike, Run, Ski, Climb, Educate, Embrace. Website: thewillrogers.wordpress.com

I really feel like it's a terminal sign when a campaign can go from "my opponent is "doctor", podcast bro palling around with a commie terrorist" to "he's a real, intelligent, doctor, and gosh a swell guy" in 48 hours. The void of beliefs enables the former makes the latter feel insincere at best.

A gracious concession: “I want to congratulate Abdul El-Sayed on winning the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. He is a doctor, a community health official, a Rhodes Scholar, and a dedicated Michigander. I am proud to offer my support as he takes on Mike Rogers in the general election…

Adding Elite Panic vs. The Resilient Populace to my required reading. I post this on FB 2-3 times a year, usually around thanksgiving and during wildfire season. Every time at least one person finally reads it and tells a story of their neighbors helping eachothr. www.commentary.org/articles/jam...

Elite Panic vs. the Resilient Populace

North America’s strongest recorded earthquake struck just off the Alaskan coast at 5:36 p.m., on March 27, 1964. The shaking from the magnitude 9.2 quake lasted an unimaginable four and

Might be reading this wrong but the Grasshopper Fire could actually end up running from Central Oregon all the way to the gorge if these wind patterns hold. A lot of fuel on that side of the mountain.

A movie where Mark Zuckerberg is explicitly a villain responsible for the state of the modern world. While he's still alive? In the past we used to have Dennis Hopper play a dinosaur version of the real life super villain.

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

It's absolutely insane we've somehow let the Covid recriminations debate become like "why didn't we reopen in person schools before there was a vaccine" and not "why did none of the trump guys go to jail for stealing PPE from New York hospitals in March 2020"

My take on COVID "lockdowns" (really, state and local decisions in the face of a killer plague) is that yes they were bad for children and this is an additional reason why it was morally repugnant when huge segments of the population refused to help with social distancing. Shame on you all.

Hard to imagine bigger loser shit than relitigating the “lockdowns” when there were no real lockdowns you just weren’t allowed to eat inside the burger king for a few weeks.

Cascade Policy Institute: This is the most prominent free-market think tank in Oregon. It focuses on issues such as education reform, healthcare, taxation, and transportation. Cascade advocates for reduced government intervention and market-based solutions.

Another wildfire year where people don’t know where to find evacuation information because Oregon lacks a single cohesive place to find it. WatchDuty links to maps that crash. Local govts are relying on Facebook to share critical information.
