Just talkin’ about the things I enjoy: movies, Halloween, horror, old TV shows, punk rock, metal, film scores, video games, writing, dark rides and wooden rollercoasters. If you need me, I’ll be watching MeTV Toons.

1) I hate that every large company is actively devouring themselves. 2) While I enjoy a taste of that ‘90s Gen X energy that Spencer’s still offers, they still very much cater to the “fuck your feelings” crowd (like selling shirts with the R word). I hope they don’t bring that energy to Hot Topic.

School Librarian: “Shawn, you’ve checked out the Critters Tales of Terror book every week for 30 weeks straight. Don’t you think it’s time to let someone else read about Critters?” Me: “Nope. Stamp it.”

Recently picked up this LIGHT OF DAY print from my local antique store. The reverse side includes the entire credits. This is actually one of the few Michael J. Fox movies I’ve not seen, so having this serves as a reminder that I need to get on that asap.

Heads up! Dick Warlock has a new book out about his career, which includes an interview with Tommy Lee Wallace, quotes from Steven Spielberg and Jamie Lee Curtis, and a forward by Kurt Russell.

“Dick Warlock: The Shape of My Career.” A book about famed Hollywood stuntman Dick Warlock, who worked on JAWS, Escape From New York, The Abyss and played Michael Myers in Halloween II.

Going thru the process of getting an up-to-date diagnosis — one that wasn’t dropped around 1990 — and while there is still more to the process it looks I may have an official answer: ADHD Combined with sensory issues.

There’s a filmmaker I never really had much of an opinion on before ten years ago. He made movies I thought were okayish in theaters but painfully dull when I watched them again at home. Then a cult of personality formed around him, and now I wish he’d go manage a Waffle House or something.

I’m cautiously optimistic about DOOMSDAY but the momentum has been off ever since ENDGAME. So many cards left on the table, so many starts and stops and coasting on vibes alone. There needed to be an AVENGERS-level event film or two in the middle and they really should’ve done X-MEN sooner.

Taylor Farms also supplies lettuce to numerous other chains (incl. Wendy’s) and the bagged salads which you can still find on store shelves. But sure, blame Taco Bell, the one chain that responded to the outbreak by actually addressing its existence at all and temporary removing ingredients.
