seeing reviews/posts criticizing the Odyssey movie for being an inaccurate or too-modern retelling of the original—and i’m begging people to learn one little thing about Greek stories and their reinterpretation even in the Classical period, like this was a very Euripides take

For whatever reason my Instagram algorithm is serving me a lot of clips from THE ODYSSEY taken on people’s phones in a movie theater. I realize I am old but is this a thing people do now? I *will* yell at you if I see you do this in a theater, just so you know.
