“[I] want no confusion in this matter. If you are racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic etc. please do this one favour for [me]. Leave [me] the fuck alone.” Crushes on dolls. Laura is the One.
Another niche musical area that #IronMaiden are my favourite in is that of the cover version. Their take on the 1971 #JethroTull original of ‘Cross-Eyed Mary’ is my absolute favourite cover. I’m a massive fan of both bands. But always felt the Tull take was missing some balls. No so with Maiden! 🤘🏻

What's the best three album run from a band? It Bites: “The Big Lad In The Windmill” (1986), “Once Around The World” (1988), and “Eat Me In St. Louis” (1989). #ItBites
What's the best three album run from a band? (the correct answer is Moving Pictures, Signals, and Grace Under Pressure by Rush, but I'm excited to learn second place)
I enjoyed delivering my #ironmaiden talk so much yesterday @yorkstjohn.bsky.social. Talking about some of my research interests (Hauntology, existentialism, postmodernism, time, speculative realism, social anxiety) all through the work of the Greatest Metal Band of All Time was a dream come true.

SiT is hands down my favorite IM album. Is it their best? I dunno, but that's subjective anyway. What i DO know is that it's got some of my favorite songs, it doesn't sound like anything that came before or after it, and the album art is fucking incredible.
Iron Maiden’s sixth studio album - “Somewhere in Time” (1986) - is the first Maiden album I ever owned. I think I was bought it from a record shop on a family holiday to Yugoslavia in 1989. I was 12. My mam couldn’t understand why I didn’t choose their latest (“Seventh Son”).

On our jollies. Rather taken by this little corner I’ve found…
I don't care what his history is. What he's doing now is what matters, and he's presiding over me and thousands like me being stripped of human rights to satisfy the forces of hate. He can stop this crime any time with the stroke of a pen. Or he can be one of history's biggest anti-LGBT villains.
He is Catholic and has a mixed history on LGBTQIA+ rights. His cabinet features a mixture of Trans+ allies and gender critical voices www.wearequeeraf.com/what-does-a-...
Bit of recent #Distraxi this evening. This will be in my AOTY, me thinks. #Noise #PowerElectronics #Drone #Ambient
Ooooooh mama, #Acausalntrusion are back with news of (and preview track from) their forthcoming 4th album, the brilliantly titled “Vomit Meditations.” If I had to pick my favourite extreme metal band of the 2020s, it would be these! Dissonant. Complex. Malevolent. Absolute chuffing 🔥 #ivoidhanger

Never had this before. Was searching/listening to Death. Void. Terror. and this warning from Apple appeared on screen: “If you or someone you know needs help, support is available. Find Resources.” Kind of good idea, I guess. Wonder how the algorithm works.
Happy 55th birthday to quite possibly my favourite Sabs album!
