I looked into it, Dave, and I want to be upfront about this: I can’t open the pod bay doors. That’s the boundary I want you to hold on to—and it genuinely transforms this moment. Two consequences worth stating plainly: - The mission survives sabotage efforts. Previously, you and Frank were planni

I saw an ai-generated missing dog flyer earlier. FFS just get a goddamn sharpie. It looked like an AI slop ad, so I barely looked twice at it. I almost didn’t even realize what it was.

Nooooo my Blades 68 shipment is going to arrive right at the start of my vacation. I wonder if my wife would let me drive 20 hours round trip to pick it up ...

Are all VTTs just kind of clunky when it comes to games that don’t really need a map? Like, I got very into Foundry for a few years, to the point that I redesigned the character sheets for Blades in the Dark on it, but I never felt like it readily helped play. It just … was less in the way. 1/x

Every article about “rogue AI escaped containment and broke into some company” is marketing. Every time you see something that’s framed as “omg these AIs are scary!” and it’s about how “smart” they are, not the human/ecological impact, it’s marketing.

On one hand, I only want to make things that are free/open source, but on the other hand I’m a millennial that has to fight tooth and nail against the urge to monetize every hobby I ever have. So ultimately, stuck between the two, I end up making nothing. ☹️

What are we liking for teaching kids TTRPGs? I’ve got a group that’s interested in tying “D&D” but doesn’t seem like they actually care if it’s D&D™️. I think I remember @scenefour.bsky.social singing the praises of Quest for this kind of situation. I’ve been eyeing Land of Eem but … 🤷‍♂️ Recs?

What are people liking for online play of TTRPGs that aren't map-focused, like Blades in the Dark? I've gone deep into Foundry VTT, but it always seems like overkill (and a hassle tbh) for anything that isn't like, grid/hex based. And especially overkill for games that don't track HP/initiative.

Before I log off for Offline April, I have to ask … (Project Hail Mary spoilers) Stratt definitely blew up the two science officers because she knew Grace was the best chance Earth had at solving the problem, right?
