Wolf. I spend a lot of time on two wheels. Day job starting at screens. Motorcycle racer for fun & business but not much profit. Fursuiter & licensed clown. Kinky, queer, weirdo. 40-ish, awoo/he/they. A crankycoyote on birdsite. PDX local.

I had to knock out a quick response to this garbage. Wouldn't it be amazing if they actually commissioned a real artist? Wouldn't it have been so easy? There's so many of us who would've been so happy to be involved in a project like this.

Looks like New Mexico’s state parts got tricked about their new mascot, this is almost certainly AI. Notice the hands- the left has human nails. The right hand has both human nails and dog nails, at the same time

Transphobia is a losing strategy. If you’re telling trans people to eat shit for the cause you either know this and want cover for your own transphobia or you don’t know this and think it’s morally acceptable to mark some bodies and lives for death in the name of expediency. Fix your hearts or die.

My final thought for the night: In 2019 I spent a week at BYU co-leading discussions on how to better support queer students. It was exhausting & bewildering & now a blur, but something one student said hit like a ton of bricks, when asked why they chose to come to a hostile environment for school:

Periodic reminder to self: being sad on social media helps no one and improves nothing. Put it in a journal, not in the parasocial hellspace.

Friends going to BLFC, please steer clear of the Taurs, Multifurs, and Hybrids meet panels. They're bring ran by Mozdoc, a longtime bad actor in the fandom and loudly-vocal transphobic bigot. Receipts in the replies.

I sure do love waking up at 0430 for a 30-minute meeting with India and EST folks. Really loving the job, feeling respected, and looking forward to tomorrow. /s

It's World Marine Aids to Navigation Day on the 1st July, so here's a quick thread on some aids to navigation. Now the first and most obvious aid to navigation is dry land. Dry land - pay attention at the back - is strongly suggestive that you can't go sailing here.

It’s a little thing, but it makes me sad that JL Darling discontinued my favorite field notebook (Rite-In-The-Rain 373-M, 3.25x5 side spiral). I had a system with a Zebra TS-3 pencil that fit perfectly in a shirt pocket; the top spiral notebooks won’t work for it. Sic transit etc.

Sad to see some random driveby fascist attention get a cool little furry dance party in PDX preemptively shut down. Shame on the fash, and shame on the venue for capitulating that way.

How the week is going: - I’ll have 24h worked by end of day today. It’s Tuesday. - The Big Boss on the main gig let it be known that he expects us to go full AI and that dev velocity must increase *4X* as a result before the end of the year. - The guy I contract to called him a “visionary” & agreed.

Cleaning things with “How It’s Made” in the background, because it’s pretty lonely here without my cat. It’s an episode about sewing rawhide lamps, with closeups of stretched sheepskin, and it’s just pure horror. “Only the highest quality skin is used.” “A proprietary moisturizer is applied next.”

Current status: dying in the La Brea Task Pits. Not too depressed to work, which is good because I’m drowning in it. The anhedonia severely muffles anything else though. Severely task saturated & dopamine deprived. Life is a TODO list.

*checks news* Guess it’s time to put “Lessons of Darkness” on in the background while I struggle through a bunch of work bullshit on a Sunday night. Really gets those 2003-2004 feels going again.

How to make Timber feel old: P: “That was a Lion King reference!” T: “Ah, sorry, I wasn’t a huge fan.” P: “What?!? That was a formative part of my childhood!” T: “…I was a senior in high school when it came out.” P: “….ah.”
