6 potato plants in a 1.4m x 0.9m bed. #allotment 🌱 4x Cultra on left and 2x Charlotte on right. Grown under dappled shade of a plum tree. Cultra forms bigger tubers and is a great all-rounder, but for yield, I think that Charlotte has it. 9.5kgs total for 6 plants What do you think?

Good morning. The #BirdOfTheDay theme is #RedOrDead, any bird with red in the capture but not on the bird or a photo of a bird on bare winter branches. Alt #SummerVisitors Migratory birds associated with summer or your favourite bird to capture in summer. #birds #photography #ECK

A Meadow Pipit perches sideways on the curved seed head of a dark purple grass, its finely streaked brown upperparts and cream underparts sharply in focus against a smooth green background. The bird grips a large reddish earthworm in its slender bill, likely carrying food back to a nest or recently fledged young. Its alert dark eye and slightly raised crown feathers give it an attentive expression, while the soft, blurred backdrop draws full attention to the delicate plumage and the vivid contrast of the red worm against the bird’s pale face.

Welcome on board @helenbennett.bsky.social Thanks for today's #BirdOfTheDay theme: #FabulousWaders A Spotted Redshank photographed last April - just coming into Summer Plumage. #birds #ECK #ukbirding #BirdPhotography #Photography @mybirdcards.com @britishbirds.bsky.social @bbappnews.bsky.social

Good morning all. For today's #BirdOfTheDay theme I've chosen #FabulousWaders Any wading bird that you love! For me it's the Avocet, a calm and graceful beauty wading along the shoreline! 🤍🪶 The Alt. theme is #Speckled any bird with speckled patterns on its plumage. 📷 #birds #photography #ECK

A close up photograph showing the head and upper body of an Avocet wading bird. It is seen in side profile appearing from the left as viewed with a predominantly white body, black feather patches on its wings, back of its neck and the top of the Avocets head. It has a thin black bill that curves sharply upward towards the end. It is leaning slightly forward looking down having lifted its head from hunting for food along the mudflats at low tide. Taken on a sunny bright early morning, the background is a dark golden brown in colour from the muddy water and reflecting sunlight giving it a slight shimmer. Seen on the North East coast, UK
