“There are but 2 parties now: traitors and patriots. And I want hereafter to be ranked with the latter and, I trust, the stronger party.” -Ulysses S Grant 1861 💙💙🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈

"A world in which the White House is allied to the Kremlin was, until now, the stuff of paranoid fiction. Manchurian candidates and red presidents were fantasies, dark tales that Americans told themselves, like ghost stories around a campfire. But this alliance now exists."

Humiliating and dangerous: Trump has now finally just made America an ally of the Kremlin and is aiding Putin in his war against an American friend and partner. Shameful betrayal of a US friend, and pathetic submission to a US enemy. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/1...

At this morning’s Disability Pride March with @risenresistnyc and the Elevator Action Group… because elevators are for everyone, and disability rights are human rights. Today’s march theme was “TOGETHER WE BUILD.” @nyc_disabilities

📢 NO KINGS 📍 Washington Square Park | New York City 📅 October 17, 2026 📸 Richard Scalzo | A Fixed Moment From elaborate costumes and political satire to handmade signs calling for democracy, accountability, and change, New Yorkers found their own unique ways to make their voices heard.

October 17, 2026 | Farley Post Office, NYC Massive turnout at Rise and Resist’s NO KINGS action! Demonstrators urged early voting, demanded delivery of all mail-in ballots, and called for the Trump regime not to interfere with the electoral process.

We are facing a psychiatric emergency. We are facing a constitutional emergency. Anyone with eyes and ears who’s paying attention can see it. Our republic is teetering. The good news: We the people have the power to stop this accelerating descent before it’s too late.

Women across Maine begged Susan Collins not to put Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court because they knew Roe was at stake. She did it anyway. To this day, she says "I do not regret that vote." Well, we sure do.

Pierre Damas Bel was an honor student & part of his college's ROTC program. He was also a TPS recipient. After Trump's attacks on TPS, he was forced to wear an ankle monitor that isolated and humiliated him. Pierre died in an apparent suicide. He was 20.

At a time when the most influential leaders of the U.S. need to stand up loudly and clearly for the rule of law, they are leading the charge in the opposite direction. But not Jack Smith. Kudos to him for continuing to be a much needed voice of clarity.

Jack Smith: "History teaches that the rule of law is rarely destroyed all at once. It's often weakened by attacks on the institutions and the public servants sworn to uphold it. Since January 2025, we have witnessed precisely such an effort."

Another fossil fuel con job. Any savings on the front end get eaten up and spat out by excess costs of fuel, which go to — oh, right — Trump’s big corrupt fossil fuel donors. Fuel economy standards have saved drivers hundreds of billions of dollars. www.washingtonpost.com/transportati...

Trump says new fuel economy rules will cut car prices. Analysts are doubtful.

In rolling back fuel efficiency standards, the administration said the average new vehicle price in 2031 should be reduced by $1,300.

09.22.2026 Members of Rise and Resist gathered this morning near the entrance to the U.N. in protest of Trump's criminal regime. Activists sat peacefully on a public street, blocking a motorcade from entering the U.N. They were then arrested for civil disobedience.
