Ever wonder how Puffins can carry so many fish? It's because their tongues & upper beaks are covered in backward-facing, raspy spines (denticles) that lock slippery fish in place, while a flexible, hinged jaw keeps the mouth open to catch more. How efficient!

Today was a Bucket List day for me. I've always wanted to photograph Puffins and while here in Scotland, I finally got the chance as we took a boat trip out to the Islands of Lunga and Staffa. The puffins were even more fun to watch than I imagined they would be! #scotland #wildlife #puffins
