Thanks Genes & Development for using our work of TGF-β induced MLL4 recruitment as cover page 📓🧬. We reveal a novel role for the histone methyltransferase MLL4 (KMT2D) in transcriptional responses to TGF-β. We show that MLL4 is recruited to TGF-β target genes including JUNB while TGF-β treatment.

New research from MSK, led by Dr. Scott Lowe, Dr. Dana Pe'er, & colleagues, shows how pancreatic cells can shift from a benign state to cancer — revealing a key “switch” in this process. The study, published in @cellpress.bsky.social, identifies a critical window for early detection and prevention.

From Benign Growth to Pancreatic Cancer: New Study Shows How the Switch Gets Flipped | Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

An MSK study reveals new details about how pancreatic cells carrying oncogenic mutations transition from benign to malignant — shining new light on the ecosystems that supports emerging tumors.

With the help of a technique called Massively Parallel Ribosome Profiling, researchers in Science have identified more than 4000 open reading frames—stretches of genetic material that can encode proteins—across 679 human-associated viral genomes. scim.ag/43RoAdF

Pan-viral ORFs discovery using massively parallel ribosome profiling

Defining viral proteomes is crucial to understanding viral life cycles and immune recognition but the landscape of translated regions remains unknown for most viruses. We have developed massively para...
