On a quick skim, the core function that OSF will fulfil is registration of studies (plus protocols and analysis plans) and hosting preprints. This means we will need to find data repositories for new projects following mid-November; perhaps Github, Zenodo, or university-operated commons.

7/ Turns out, yes! Low motion coherence (high uncertainty) of a memory target increases its vulnerability to distortion from a "similar"-looking non-target during the delay, while a high-coherence (low-uncertainty) target stays relatively resilient.

This is great to see! Also that @jcgntn.bsky.social has gained a good spot among these outlets. Obviously, I am not impartial (being AE at JoC), but it is great to see that non-profit journals that are backed by scientific societies & focused on serving the scientific community are faring well!

As of today, I'm officially an Assistant Professor at the University of California Davis! I'm so excited to be joining the Department of Psychology and the Center for Mind and Brain, and I'm looking forward to getting settled into the new lab and embarking on a lot of fun new research this year

Back in late 2020, in my capacity as director of a new Neuroscience Ph.D. program, I led an effort to apply for an NIH T32 G-RISE grant. It was rejected, then I handed it off to my co-PIs before they resubmitted it (in quite a hurry), it was rejected again, but recently we heard that it was funded!

New paper: across 3 EEG experiments, we examined how do we edit WM at test. Imagine you were asked to memorize 4 colored squares during encoding: at test, when you were given a single test probe, are you able to remove the items at irrelevant positions (upper), or do you have to keep'em (lower)? 1/n
