so much of my life here has been paperwork, lawyers, fees, rejections, and the inability to work or travel but the pressure to financially support the original story ends with - by dying she proved she had been alive and ours reframed it - by not dying she proved she had never really been alive

Benjamin Levey, an attorney with the National Immigrant Justice Center, says that in years of working with people going into immigration court, "the last two months have been the worst months on record," with 11000+ people ordered removed. He says many were ordered removed in absentia.

yesterday my friend expressed shock when I said I was looking into getting tested for adhd. "I thought you knew you had that! based on your behaviors!!" I told my partner the story and she said she had the same exchange with her therapist. "I thought she had that! based on her behaviors!!" Well, ok!

The untraceable one drop rule that a lot of Latinos cling to so they feel comfortable saying the N word is actually very weird and just not how the world works. So please, in this year of 2025, on this day the 19th of June, PLEASE give it up.
