Drawn from the words white and Asian, many use the term to celebrate shared experiences. But the label raises questions about valuing proximity to whiteness.

Build confidence in sci by leading ppl confident in themselves to learning & those not to production. It's not click bait if skillful- its really subconsciously walking someone to nuance w/o flagging that this is what you are doing. Emergent engagement/ teaching. #TRAC @tracconference.bsky.social
When you see the story about how the world now has its first trillionaire, and when you see the story about how laboratories in Congo have run out of supplies to test for Ebola, it is important to understand that in many ways these are the same story.
NEW YORK CITY BABY! We’re all Knicks fans right now. Collective joy FTW.

Met a medical anthropologist in the kitchen at Padmasambhava Buddhist Center while we were celebrating Saga Dawa Duchen. We are everywhere haha. ❤️
A central point of college is to offer a foundation broad enough to open up several personal and professional paths that can develop over time. Electives and other free choices could be key in developing those paths. https://chroni.cl/4eFN2V2

Interesting & important article though it does sadden me that the work of biological anthropologists who have been doing this, as adjuncts, without research funding for years is overlooked. It's exhausting. I hope he does well in his next steps. www.statnews.com/2026/04/07/b... via @statnews.com

Congratulations Dr. Achorn and it is an honor to join you and the rest of the Cobb Prof Dev Grant awardees. I cannot put into words how seeing Dr. Cobb next to my name is so meaningful, knowing he paved the way for Black anthropologists. Thank you to the #aaba2026 as well.
I am so incredibly honored and grateful to have received a Cobb Professional Development Grant from the American Association of Biological Anthropologists to fund research on bone proteomes and skeletal pathologies in nonhuman primates! 🐒🦴 Congrats to the other recipients too!! #AABA2026

Expert-ness is a craft/ art form. My art & my scientific expertise were cultivated in the same way. What I understand about the world scientifically is nuanced & not the same as wiki 'facts' an AI can give you. We should value things that humans put blood, sweat, & years of tears and practice into.
Maduro was a brutal repressive dictator who destroyed Venezuela. Trump did not have congressional or UN approval to engage in unilateral regime change. Trump's actions were illegal. All of those things can be true at the same time. Don't let them make this about Maduro.
