In meditation this wk, we are doing an exercise where at different points in the day, we are supposed to pause, take 5 breaths, observe and ask this question silent 'What is here now?' and just listen...no breakthrough answers yet but its a lovely grounding exercise so I thought I'd share 🪷

My network in Crypto is split between hiring Blockchain engineers aggressively and laying off aggressively. Emblematic of the current market shift in crypto

PSA - do not watch a tearjerker while working out on a treadmill, especially if you are prone to actually crying 😜. I realized yesterday that all energy leaves your body and speed drops to nothing as tears roll down your cheeks, even though you are crying at the screen and not real life.

Telling clients 'I caught a bad cold from my trip to Miami' seems like SUCH a lie - a cold in the middle of summer, and that too from Miami in July 🤦‍♀️. At least my voice and coughing is making it seem real.

I enjoyed discussing Soccer so much here on @bsky.app for the World Cup that I am wondering if, after decades in the US, I need to now finally start following Basketball so I can continue the fun 😜. I know it will not be (Amercian) Football, as even Taylor Swift had couldn't get me interested

One thing about taking days off from social media is when you return and want to talk about things, everyone else has already finished talking about them 🤦‍♀️

So I think the 6-4 3rd place match between 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and 🇫🇷 ended up being one of the most fun and exciting games of the World Cup. The teams could so easily have taken it easy or sulked but they played with so much spirit.🫡 and I think true sportsmanship by both teams

In the tech world we love to call each other GOATs 🐐. While this, of course, never boosts our egos and only 'humbles' us, lets take a moment before the World Cup final and honor what a 🐐, the Greatest of All Time, really is...Messi is the GOAT www.nytimes.com/athletic/744...

Has Lionel Messi ended GOAT debate? Why have star coaches been outshone? Day 35 recap

The big talking points from the World Cup including Messi's inevitable brilliance and the sadness of the third-placed play-off

I was talking to some friends from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 last evening and though they were smarting from the loss, we all ended up agreeing that Messi's work with UNICEF over all these yrs was pretty cool. I'm writing this as the UN has fallen out of favor with the right so I admire stars who continue the good work

Visiting Kolkata 2 wks back brought home to me what a 'World Cup' is...India did not qualify at all but rival neighborhoods on opposite sides of the road where plastered with 🇦🇷 and 🇧🇷 flags and paraphernalia. Everyone was staying up for 3 am games and using that as an excuse to be late next day 😀

I have discovered a really effective way to get the kids to practice drums or piano during the Summer Break is to loudly announce that you are starting a work Zoom call 🤦‍♀️....
