A friend’s disgusted reaction to Paul, Weiss: “So many non-profit lawyers have been so busy working on cases against the unconstitutional actions of the Administration, because the big firm lawyers with multiple houses and cars and boats and every other damn thing are too fucking weak to do it.”
Just to be clear, the executive branch has no constitutional authority to refuse a court appearance on the ground of a unilateral determination that the law favors the president’s position. If the courts don’t push back, the rule of law, always precarious, never perfectly realized, is dead.

The CFPB is super popular. They've given 195 million consumers abused by finance companies $19.6 BILLION in actual dollars, principal reductions, canceled debts and similar. It took another $5 BILLION from companies that broke the law. "Terrorizing financial institutions" WHO BREAK THE LAW indeed.
