What the hell was Amaya doing in that at bat! All he has to do is put the ball in play against a pulled-in infield and he swings at two pitches low and out of the zone to strike out.

As for the Bears hosting the Cleveland Browns, I'll catch up to that game on the NFL+ replay. I doubt there's going to be much of note except for Bagent getting a chance to play the entire first half.

Some days you gets the Bear and some days the Bear gets you. Cubs smoked 7-0 today by a pitcher at the at the top of his game. At least the Cubs managed one hit.

I've always enjoyed watching past Field of Dreams games. That cornfield baseball field is a great setting for a game and I think the players get a charge out of it. The problem is, MLB has farmed the game out to Netflix instead of making it available to the widest possible audience.

Nationals manager puts one over on Counsell. Happ sent up to pinch hit against the righty reliever and Butera pulls in a lefty reliever to put Happ in the right hand box. No Fair!

I've been loving what Ramirez has given the Cubs since he was called up. He's also probably why Hoyer believed he could trade Jefferson Rojas to the Mets for Holmes and Taylor.

Why the hell is Ian Happ in the lineup tonight against a lefty starter. Happ at the plate has been sinking fast anyway without having him try to hit right handed.

Glad to see that the Bears have agreed to a contract extension Darnell Wright. One of the best guards in the league and will now be getting paid like it. Four-years, $116 million.

I see MLB.com talking about Skubal's quality start and six strikeouts in his first game with LA six tonight. What they are overlooking is that Skubal also picked up his first loss of the season with the Dodgers. Cubs piled on late for a 5-1 victory.
