if art is your income: don't monetize everything you create. "wow maybe I can sell this as a comm (feverish passion project that you did for fun)" don't do this. keep somethings for yourself to enjoy

Danny Bowes@dannybowes.bsky.social · 2mo agoReasons for writers to use "big" words: 1) The "big" word conveys a nuance of meaning that the "normal" word may not, being too vague 2) The "big" word sounds cool (as in, the word actually does sound cool and not like the writer is trying to get sapiosexually laid) 3) You fucking feel like it
