I have declared an end to Wold War II. As a WWIi baby, born in 1942, when Jews were being incinerated by Germans, I have always cut Israel 100% slack. They could do no wrong. But with the e recent horrifying activity in Gaza, World War II is over and the Israelis do not deserve an iota of slack.
Two most powerful words: THANK YOU. Hammer that into your head and the world will be your oyster. (I am barely exaggerating.)
It is hard to be optimistic, but I am hanging in there.
When stuff gets really messed up, I’m in the habit of saying “this, too, shall pass.” I wish I believe that right this minute.…
I get incredibly anxious about flights. Drives my wife crazy. I agree with her. On the other hand, my defense is that in my traveling days staff calculated that I took between 5000 and 6000 flights. If that doesn’t make a total mess of your head (and body) I don’t know what the hell would.
after all the “zingers“ I produced over the years, it’s strange that I am so.takken by this simple one, now on a sweatshirt I own: “excellence is not a skill. It’s an attitude.“❤️👍🎺💥⚡️

Naval Academy boss fired. Harvey Milk’s name removed from a ship. Go Navy! Not❗️❗️❗️
speaking as a born and raised Annapolis boy, one more basis for my contempt of the current administration. The first woman to head the I.S.Naval Academy was just canned. How sad. How wrong. Grrrrrrrrr…
Way back 1000 years ago, the economist magazine created a “super (business) guru”: Rosatom Druckporter. Combining Rosabeth Kanter, Tom Peters, Peter Drucker and Michael Porter.

Because consultants don’t make much selling that fix. It’s too easy. Need boards to hold leaders accountable- penalize and remove toxic CEOs.
Sunday morning leader sermon, with a little Navy slang thrown in: if you treat people with respect and decency and care, in 98.2 out of every 100 cases, they will work their effing asses off for you. (Why the F is this such a hard sell??)
Sadly, you are correct. But what if boards chewed gum AND waked at the same time? Think of the companies they could unleash.
