Forgot I had a load of serial output left in, slowing things down a bit. Seems smoother with it off anyway. Haven't actually timed it, but certainly looks better.

djent atkins@jojjjajjr.bsky.social · 2y agoDoom E1M3 on a pair of monome grids, by way of #maxmsp. The grid display you see here is laggy bc I’m sending the camera over wifi, but irl there’s no noticeable lag. Not sure why I’m getting those little flashes on the 256.
What do we think chat, does this lens look like it's IR to you?

These neat little bar format LCD panels are a bit on the small side, but given they are selling for about a quid a pc for 76x284px... Well, it'd be rude not to whip up a little breakout. Dropped on a Waveshare ESP32/RP2350 Tiny module footprint - for now...

I feel Spreadsheets should always be more colourful. The baked in conditional formatting doesn't work well enough to do stuff like... RGB LED matrix mapping.
Scrapping down a few old Lacie external disks, along with a Drobo 5D, both with FireWire. Who wants to play spot the similarities in these two boards? Of course, there are only so many ways one can architect and build this for it to work (& pass EMC)... But really.
