In 2016, I was the general counsel to the Clinton campaign. In 2022, Trump sued me and others for RICO. The case was dismissed. Trump and his lawyers were sanctioned. Now, they have asked SCOTUS to hear the case. I will never back down. I will never stop fighting. When we fight we win.💪⚖️🗳️

Trump just handed Putin a lifeline weeks before the midterms. Energy analysts say his Russian diesel deal won’t meaningfully lower prices. And a tanker that left Russia weeks before the announcement raises an even bigger question: How long was this in the works?

Trump Reopens U.S. Market to Putin’s Diesel — Consumers Get Little Relief

Days after the White House invoked an emergency to ease diesel costs, Trump promised Russia new fuel sales as analysts warned the arrangement is unlikely to move prices.

ProPublica and The Texas Tribune reviewed Ken Paxton's travel records dating back to 2015. Paxton has taken nearly 1,000 trips with a state-funded security detail, costing $3.3 million. The outlets could only connect 138 of those trips and $553,000 in security costs to actual state business.

Start a war that you should have never started. Then when you find out that you are losing that war, you turn around and kick your ally, in the groins, who’s fighting a war that you should be fully supporting. A stupid, weak, & treasonous decision.

Trump announces diesel deal with Russia in bid to lower prices

The amount is small compared with U.S. demand, but the deal aligns the U.S. with Russia and against Ukraine’s efforts to bomb Russian refineries.

The United States is now officially allied with Vladimir Putin and Russia. We will fund Russia’s genocidal war machine in exchange for Putin helping Trump and the Republican Party in the midterms. One of the most shameful and disgusting days in the history of this Republic.

22 California billionaires have spent a combined $150 million so far to defeat Prop 40. By spending their fortunes trying to stop California from taxing billionaires, they're making the argument for a billionaire wealth tax more clearly and articulately than anyone else possibly could.

Once we are done with the ICC, we will be livestreaming the execution of Ukraine and paying Russia so that gas prices go down. It's crucial to buy from Russia so it could give more to Iran to target US troops when we restart the war, for which we need the gas prices go down. Stable genius.

Trump announces that the U.S. will buy Russian oil. This is just a few weeks after Trump signed the Lindsey Graham Russia Sanctions bill, which authorized him to place 100% tariffs on countries that are the biggest importers of Russian oil/gas. Are we going to tariff ourselves now?

We testified before the UN Human Rights Council about the alarming number of Black people who have been found dead, hanging, or drowned in the U.S. over the past decade. We urge UN human rights experts to investigate these deaths properly as our government continues to fail the public.

I second the suggestion that *everyone* do some organizer training. It's free, it doesn't take a lot of time. You'll understand way better how things work. You can make yourself a confident and understanding ally even if you yourself (like me!) are not eligible. No one deserves "The Bad Meeting."

Even if you don't see yourself as an organizer, understanding how the process works (and what unions do/don't do) is crucial and will help you avoid baseless accusations and potentially sabotaging your vulnerable peers fighting for protections they need. (Link for NA folks, I recommend it)

Figuring out why Ossoff is so effective is an interesting task. I think he's mastering a kind of stern dignity that is uniquely compelling in contrast to the clownish cruelty of the other side. I think the other person who's kind of hit on the same thing is AOC, though in a different register

Ossoff: "I think Pete Hegseth is frankly a deeply unwell person who seems to relish this kind of brutality all the while he's running a department that is falling into chaos. The guy cannot run the military competently and is spending his time with this kind of obscene medieval spectacle."
