Tophhie Social's origin server was reachable directly, bypassing @cloudflare.social entirely. Found it, closed it with Authenticated Origin Pulls, and added automated abuse blocking on top. Wrote up what happened and how it's fixed. 🚪 🔗 www.tophhie.cloud/closing-the-... #pds #federation #atproto

Broke user registration this week. Twice. First, I knocked out a database trigger. Then I broke user ID generation. New users were hitting the sign-up flow, authenticating fine, then just... not being created in the database. No error, no warning. Just lost users. Always test. ⚠️ #buildinpublic
