Star Trek is one of my favorite things which means I follow a lot of Star Trek on the socials which means I’ve seen a lot of puppet discourse in the past couple of days. (I loved it, but also we only get ten episodes per season, and this is one of them?)

The Star Trek Puppet Episode is quite cromulent. An element that will likely go unobserved by many is that the puppet crew is subtext of disability in the episode. Their puppet forms are unable to use the systems in place intended for people of typical size, typical hands, typical ears …

While on a different stage covering set for another (soon-to-be-aired) Strange New Worlds episode, I found time to visit the green room where the cast would hang out between takes. I tried out resting puppet face.
