My Ohio senator lashed out with an obscenity at an 85-year-old who’d already pled the 5th and couldn’t legally respond. That’s not accountability, it’s a bully picking on someone with their hands tied, for the cameras. It was a dick move. I expected better from the man represents my district.
My concern is that once people start arguing for selective empathy, it becomes easier to rationalize harmful actions.

To recruit ppl to his project, he needs them to think and be small, like him.
History suggests Iran rarely backs down quickly, the Iran-Iraq War proved that over 8 years. It’s fair to ask whether that lesson factored into this decision. If not, we may be in for a longer, harder road than expected.
