The fictional forecast as I understand it (my french is rusty) was supposed to be for a "typical" August heat wave in 2050, while the current actual map shows a *record* June heatwave. But the basic message--that we'll see more and more of these extremes as we continue to warm the planet--holds.

Michelle and I loved reading to this bright group of kids today! We hope this new Chicago Public Library branch at the Obama Presidential Center will be a place where folks come to read, check out books, and connect with one another for years to come.
