tl;dr Wildfire smoke and heat are going to be BAD in the Seattle metro area this week. Really bad. 1. Please be safe. 2. This is climate collapse. 3. If you live in Kenmore, please vote YES on Prop 1 in November so we have resources for climate action + affordable housing + human services.

We didn't previously integrate wildfire-smoke costs into the supposed cost of climate change for the US, and it turns out to be bigger than all those other costs combined. Oops! Gosh I wonder if we're underestimating anything else. Probably shoulda done something about this. Ah well.
