The thing about using slop flyers for advertising is that there’s no way to visually differentiate between a lemonade stand, a BBQ joint, a car wash, and a laundromat. They all look exactly the same and from a branding perspective that’s bad, actually

This has been a problem since the street reopened, as basically nothing about the design indicates it is a parking lane. There used to be a solid white line but that wore off quick and hasn't been replaced please for the love of god paint the parking/bus lanes red like before!

In case you needed validation that @mayorjacobfrey.bsky.social’s veto of 24-hour bus lanes on Hennepin for parking was ill-conceived catering to car dependency… Here’s a Wednesday at 5:20. That’s an E Line bus stuck with drivers using the parking as a travel lane.

I told him that, being raised as a woman, I was taught not to walk alone at night *anywhere*, but I don't feel any more or less safe doing it in Uptown than anywhere else. So if you're curious how much KSTP selects their quotes to fit the slant of their story, here's one data point! 🙃 5/5
