Wei Wuxian didn't text.

Occasionally Lan Wangji would scroll through the thread, starting with that picture of the flowers he'd bought for him that day. Not the roses he had purchased on graduation, not an outward, undeniable declaration of the love he felt in his heart. But still. After all these years, he had finally found a way to give Wei Wuxian flowers.

#wipwednesday and we have more yearning! (Working on this fic alongside "An Unscheduled Stream," which will update this weekend (I hope).)

"Can I see you again?" Lan Wangji asked.

"Oh, I'm sure you'll see me around, at the field, you know. Or the farmer's market."

He was being a coward and he knew it.

Lan Wangji reached out then, and touched him on the wrist. He didn't wrap his fingers around, and he pulled back almost immediately, so Wei Wuxian could almost believe he imagined it, except for the fact that he could feel the echo of the touch on his skin.

"Wei Ying," he said.

"I don't think it would be smart," Wei Wuxian heard himself say. It wasn't what he wanted to say, but it was what he thought he had to say.

Lan Wangji was a gentleman. He didn't question, didn't ask why not, didn't press or insist. He just nodded and said: "Thank you for a lovely evening."

Still thinking about this and I believe he would leave public bookmarks on AO3 with ratings, but not in a toxic way. It's weratedogs rules, where everything is above 10/10. "Author writes a great plot and spends paragraphs on how hot LWJ is. Which, fair. 13/10."

One thing I think all wangxian fic creators need to realize is that Wei Wuxian would be so fucking delighted at all of our work. Like, he'd read the spiciest scenes aloud to his husband. He would leave the best most comprehensive, gushing comments about how much he enjoyed it.

Just under the wire for #wipwednesday. Posted a chapter today and already hard at work on the next one. Who even am I?

Wei Wuxian fought in his dreams.

There was darkness, and death, but those were old friends, and nothing to struggle against. These dreams brought some new, vague uneasiness. Something inevitable was coming for him, making it impossible to escape. No matter how fast he ran, how hard he fought, it came inexorably forward. It would catch him. He could not prevent it.

He thought he cried out, more than once. Voices soothed him, voices he clung to like a lifeline. One was deep, low, and brought warmth and a feeling of safety. He clung to it with all his might. The other voice was gentle, soft, and familiar. It made him sad at the same time as it comforted him.

I will update my fic this weekend! It feels good, even though I have some terrible feelings about how long it has taken me. Sometimes life kicks you in the ass. But #wangxian just never leaves me so I still return again and again.

I will be unpacking and setting up my new house to make myself happy and when I'm done I'll park myself in a corner in a comfy chair and a drink and write something that that administration wants to ban.

I am not watching one single thing produced by or orchestrated by that administration. That's their propaganda. Why would I make it easy on them? Inviting everyone to join me on Jan 20th in doing one thing you love, and one thing they would hate. Joy & spite, y'all. Joy and spite.

I saw a tiktok where someone said "I don't know who needs to hear this, but you should not make that one sentence paragraph. Just attach that sentence to the previous paragraph." and never in my life have I been so personally and viciously attacked.
