It's depressing that wrestling media is eager to be paid off. It's mortifying that they're PROUD when they are. And it's embarrassing how cheaply most of them are bought for. If you're a promotion, the cost of favor from most people in the scene is low 3 figures, sometimes 2.

You complain that some promotions "thanked you" by giving you free tickets, but in nosebleed sections? THERE SHOULD BE NO EXPECTATION OF "THANKS" FROM THE PEOPLE AND THINGS YOU COVER. You owe them nothing, they owe you nothing. You owe your audience.

The most interesting part of this story is that the four of them negotiated as a group, and came to their deal through collective bargaining, deciding that, either way, even if the votes didn't always align, they were sticking together.

On this day in 2023: Ahead of #AEWDynamite Episode 200, Sports Illustrated announced that The ELITE had signed new deals with AEW. A very important moment, considering all the backstage issues and drama going on at the time. 1 month later, things would ease. (via AEW)
