Welcome to August! Only one month to go until our 9th issue drops. Edits will be going out to authors soon (probably today). In the meantime, we can finally reveal the absolutely gorgeous cover, slightly revamped from our previous style, with original art by Tobias Roetsch. Ain't it beautiful?

Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, Marvel, Disney, or Ghibli. I know it's not 100% accurate, but it got plenty right, and for mythologizing the early days of NASA, no film did it better than The Right Stuff.

Sometimes, not weighing in on the discourse is the best discourse. You're not going to shift opinions, and people will just hate you for it. Type the spiel into a text document, then delete it later. That way you don't accidentally post it, but you "have your say" and lance the poisonous thoughts.

The Odyssey. Am I right? You know I am. I might see it. Maybe even in Imax. Mostly because of all the hype for/against. But hearing Joyce Carol Oates thinks the 1997 Hallmark channel two-part is the best adaptation, with its wonky green screen effects and Monty Python-level beards, is hilarious.

It's an amazing album. Everyone tried to be forward thinking and they came out with some unique pieces. There aren't many other albums I can compare it to, although some of the 4AD, This Mortal Coil, type stuff is vaguely similar.
