Ahh, now the true colors of the more centrist folks are starting to show as DSA candidates continue to perform well nationwide. Commentary about every little thing has gotten progressively more pissy and petty.

One of my favorite trade deadline memories is when the Brewers traded Brett Lawrie for Shaun Marcum. Marcum did well to get the Brewers to a deep playoff run (where his arm promptly fell off), but all anyone wanted to talk about was how much of a tragedy it was that the Brewers traded Lawrie away.

This was actually the bigger takeaway for sure. He clearly doesn’t actually believe Ruth didn’t exist, and yes, the competition of the time was completely devoid of some of the best athletes because of segregation, but that doesn’t diminish that he demolished his competition

I’m not sure he is convinced Babe Ruth never existed, but he is definitely arguing that Babe Ruth wasn’t that good, which, again, is deeply ignorant.

Jacob Misiorowski is maybe the biggest epitome of "Throw the fastball until they prove they can hit the fastball" from a starter we've seen. The Angels had shown zero ability to catch up to it. Going 0-2 slider and then consecutive cutters two batters later is a continuation of a baffling trend.

Baseball trade reaction discourse can be so annoying. FG had Ryan as a top 5 SP prospect in MiLB. Brewers didn't have a SP close to that. It's not that hard to believe the Brewers couldn't beat that, even if they included Pena (Made was never going anywhere for anyone) and another top prospect.

This is the thing. This is a bigger risk for a team like Milwaukee who can’t backfill their prospects they trade with any FA they please. Plenty of teams who can take this type of risk simply opted out instead.

I wouldn't say a LOT of teams could do this deal. I am saying that there are other teams who could have done this deal. I am also saying that those are the people you should be mad at on top of the Tigers offering Tarik Skubal the biggest fucking lowball in the history of arbitration.

I saw “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”, and I think I get why critics are tired. There’s a bit of wider universe lore/knowledge, but like, not much? I had a fun time, it’s pure Spider-Man, and Holland was legit good. I’ve got my quibbles too but nothing that ruined it for me.
