#MythAugust 6 Some of the previous posts may have touched on this a bit already, but what kind of relationship do your deities have with the mortals of this world? Are they benefactors? Distant & aloof? Capricious & cruel? A mix? Bonus question: is the mortals' understanding of them accurate?? 👀

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 6:
What is your gods' relationship to the people of your world? Are they distant & uncaring? Involved & nurturing? Unpredictable chaos agents?

Uh oh! Your original character has gotten sick! How is their immune system? Do they get sick easily, or are they very fit? How do they take care of themselves when they're ill? Do they get help? #OCASK #OCQOTD #OCSKY

🫜Prof Emily🫜@professoremily.bsky.social · yesterday

#MythAugust 5 Today is about hierarchy! Who ranks highest or lowest among your gods/spirits/whatever? Is there a consensus about this ranking? As usual, interpret the question as loosely as you need to to fit your specific worldbuilding, and feel free to skip if it's not relevant to you! 😊❤️

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 5:
Let's talk hierarchy! Which of your deities are more powerful/respected? Are there minor deities who serve the big ones?

In Chinese folklore, the Hidden Spirit, Cangshen, appears as a boy in white robes, a guardian of what is unseen, buried, and secretly kept. Said to dwell within a bottle, he reveals himself only to those who approach with sincere devotion and proper ritual respect. 1/2

🫜Prof Emily🫜@professoremily.bsky.social · 2d ago

#MythAugust 4 Today, tell me about the different factions among your gods/spirits. Think like the Æsir & Vanir in Norse mythology, or angels & demons in Christianity. What's their relationship? Are they sworn enemies? Sometimes allies? Interpret the question however makes sense for your story!

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 4:
Are there different factions among your deities? If so, what is their relationship to each other?

🫜Prof Emily🫜@professoremily.bsky.social · 3d ago

#MythAugust 3 What kind of moral code do your fantasy gods or spirits follow, if any? Do they share similar moral values to the people, or is their sense of morality completely alien? Do they even do "morality" at all? As usual, interpret as you wish and don't forget to interact with others! ☺️

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 3:
How does your deities' sense of morality align with that of people? I.e. are they moral, immoral, amoral, a mix...?

#SumLuv 2 The MCs of #GodsOfAtalantis are Mireia & Kena, who are allegedly the incarnations of the sea goddess & sun god. Mireia is a strong-willed chaos gremlin with a good heart. Kena is an intelligent, gentle nurturer & a smartass. They get thrown together as supposedly "fated lovers" BUT...🧵

A collection of colored digital sketches by me of Mireia & Kena, the MCs of my Atlantis trilogy, at various times (mostly when they're younger, 13-15). Mireia is a young woman with light brown skin and long dark brown wavy hair, gray eyes, and usually wears a blue wraparound top that clasps at her left shoulder and a darker blue layered skirt with a gold chain and a purple cloth belt. Kena is a young man with light brown skin, dark brown curly hair, amber eyes, freckles, and a red phoenix tattoo across his left shoulder and chest; he is usually topless and wears an orange/red skirt like a shendyt with a red cloth belt and a gold necklace with rays like the sun. Left-right, top-bottom: 1) Mireia and Kena are holding each other & looking a bit freaked out 2) Kena gives Mireia a sweet forehead kiss 3) Mireia & Kena are bickering over probably something stupid while their mentor Icozoue, an older woman in black robes, holds them apart and contemplates murder, 4) Mireia is about to squish a spider saying "SPIDER! KILL IT!!!" while Kena is on the ground sheltering it saying "This is a beautiful precious creature!" 5) Mireia & Kena grin mischievously at each other like they're sharing an inside joke, 6) Mireia & Kena practice with the magic crystals: Mireia is easily levitating a rock, surrounded by sparkles and the label "natural prodigy," while Kena is yelling censored curses at his non-levitating rock and surrounded by the words "crystal hates him," 7) Mireia & Kena lie side by side on the ground conspiring like little cutiesA digital drawing of my MCs Mireia & Kena kissing by the rail of a boat on a tree-lined river with a mansion, some mountains, and a beautiful sunset in the background. Mireia is a young woman with light brown skin, long dark brown hair, and blue draping clothing. Kena is a young man with light brown skin, brown curly hair, red/orange draping clothing and a red phoenix tattoo on his left arm & chest.

Romance Writers Summer of Love #SumLuv @EllieYellu Day 2: Character Introductions. Who are your romantic leads?

Sometimes I like going onto videos criticizing booktok women because the comments are full of people like this who most definitely do not read nearly as much as the people they're criticizing. "nobody will read dune". You know. Dune? the very niche book no one has ever read or wants to read?

#MythAugust 1 I was coming back from a long road trip yesterday, so here I am catching up on my own prompt game! 😅 I'll be once again yapping about the Na'aqal religion from my #GodsOfAtalantis trilogy. It's a polytheistic religion with 2 main gods at the center, the Sea Mother & Sun Father. 🌊☀️

🫜Prof Emily🫜@professoremily.bsky.social · 5d ago

Hello #writingcommunity, welcome to Day 1 of #MythAugust! This is a worldbuilding game about ✨fantasy✨ gods, myths & religions! You can use the prompts to build up your gods, or yap about some you've already made! Today, give us a BRIEF intro (not too detailed!), & please interact with others ☺️❤️

#MythAugust prompt for Aug 1:
Introduce your fantasy religion! Is it monotheistic (1 god), polytheistic (many gods), or something else?
