Crone that likes math, body horror, and Twilight Princess. Read my comics at turbofanatic.com

Much as I enjoy reading about the math behind it, I don't use "AI" for the same reason I have never had a cigarette. I don't trust myself to not get sucked in. I feel many people are similar, but without that self-knowledge. It worries me.

I understand Nolan's desire to use practical effects for the Trinity explosion in Oppenheimer, but I wish he tried using fluid dynamics like The Fountain (2006) instead of just a big old gas explosion. You can get some stunning and eerie effects that way, and it's still all practical.

Apologies for the messy sketch but I like this concept and I'm prioritizing what little free time I have for finishing Aphelion. Some sort of jet/dragon/person that might show up in Remediation.

Not going to lie, I am extremely tired, but it is incredibly cool watching someone bootstrap themselves into becoming a person. Things like eyes focusing on high contrast objects (reducing cross-eyedness), then faces (mimicking smiles), then bright colors (attempting to grab), etc. Babies are neat.

The funniest thing about babies is their dance when they want something. It comes with a series of motions that look like they're performing esoteric hand symbols in a wuxia film. Behold my power! With these ancient symbols I summon milk and burpings!

Big announcement (for me at least), I had a baby! They are adorable and I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I will be busy for a while, but I have a buffer of progress pages for Aphelion queued to automatically post each weekend on Tumblr (www.tumblr.com/blog/turbofa...). Take care!

Doing more watercolors. I should start making some weirder stuff but I want to build up a backlog of normie flowers and birds to give away when I inevitably forget to get a gift for someone.

A while ago I left a cozy job after being shunted into a weapons program. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Anyways, reminder to fellow engineers, you can leave! You can just walk out! I won't pretend it's easy but it's great to be able to sleep at night!

when you ask 85% of people on here why they hate AI or LLMs, they'll give you thought-terminating cliches or factually incorrect information it's a damn shame, because it weakens their positions when the correct and reasoned 15% is MORE THAN ENOUGH to tear the entire industry down

We hate kids. Like SO MUCH. We vote for the guns. We vote for the bombs. We protect the rapists. We have LEOs physically restraining parents from trying to save their children in Uvalde. We just blew up a school in Iran. We love Jeffrey Epstein and his friends. They run the country.

It's wild to see someone say "stop bullying AI" while they're using it for what is effectively slave labor. If I had a choice between seeing some mean words and having to satisfy a dipshit's every whim, I would pick the bullying! Either it's an unconscious tool, or you're a fucking slaver, pick one!

Gave the moon in Remediation an eccentric orbit. It's tidally locked, but the same way Mercury is, which always presents the same side (or it's 180 deg opposite) to the Sun at perihelion. In this case it's a 4:1 spin orbit resonance, so it's always the same side at periapsis.
