BA/MA political science, focus on policy failure and propaganda in media sports hate is for fun, lighten up dorks

jorge is correct. even as someone with a relatively dim outlook on the so-called “average voter” (who in the us is basically politically illiterate) it’s incredibly foolish to assume that trump’s base voted against their interests. they voted for interests that you do not share. there’ a difference

Increasingly of the opinion that Trump voters weren't "fooled" by a con man who was on a shitty reality TV show, but instead willfully voted for the unapologetic racist that came down an escalator to blame Mexicans for the crimes that he himself committed and boasted about on tape

no actually this makes her the object of 1 of 2 adverbial prepositional phrases which itself is the object of an infinitive acting as 1/2 direct objects of the sentence ([to] travel) congratulations NYT you're still stupid

This week she became the subject of a political attack line delivered by Jon Ossoff, the Democratic senator from Georgia, who said of the president: “He doesn’t want to do the job. He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.”

phoebe bridgers’ new album slaps. amazing stuff. reminds me of elliott smith, i also love maya hawke and cameron winters on it. big fan. lost boys is probably my favorite track but there’s some competition.

New from 404 Media: we solved which AI company is buying massive shipments of rare books, scanning and destroying them to train AI. We put an Apple AirTag in a rare book, followed it. It ended up at an Amazon facility. Its logo is a dinosaur ripping through a book www.404media.co/we-tracked-a...

We Tracked a Shipment of Rare Books. It Ended at an Amazon AI Training Facility

We placed a tracking device in a shipment of rare books to see which AI company was buying it, and found an Amazon facility where Amazon scans and destroys books.

can attest here. i *routinely* have to answer questions from the public by telling them the proper procedure is to inform SPD of public safety concerns, and i’d say 1/3 of the time the response is “they don’t care” or “it takes hours to respond and they want me to wait onsite”

It is true that people have stopped calling and filing police reports for some stuff. SPD assumes that they're all thinking "oh, the poor police are too stretched thin to help" and they underestimate how many are thinking "what's the point because those cops are useless".

How this man is allowed to freely move about is beyond me, disgusting human: Israel's far-right national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir calls for nightly "targeted assassinations" in Gaza: "They're not even people." www.cbsnews.com/news/israel-...

Senior Israeli official calls for killing of "30 to 40" people in Gaza every night: "They're not even people"
